El Capitan Beach / California This is the beach at which I stopped for a while to get the sunset shot while driving from LA to SFO. It is closer to LA. I did not know where I could stop and find rocks in the sea. My friend looked through google maps to point out this place to me. I reached here just on time before sunset. The waves were hitting the stones and curling around them beautifully. The sunset itself was not that wonderful, but it spread out its colors on all the beach rocks, which made it look lovely

Pigeon Point Lighthouse / Davenport / California I was driving along the coast during the holidays. I was on the lookout for a place from where I could catch the sunset. Did not seem like it will be a good sunset as the black clouds had been there since morning. But suddenly, I saw a break in the clouds. Seeing this I just took my camera bag and run down to the ocean shore, set up and started shooting.

Hanging Lake / Colorado The hanging lake is a beautiful place situated close to Aspen, Colorado. The hike was steep but it was worth it. You can't get into the lake or close as it is fenced around the lake. Got this shot with my zoom lens. Was very sunny that day, but just a bit of cloud gave me this break and I could get a close up of the falls.

Frozen Lake / Mt Rainier NP / Washington A lake frozen along the trail to Pan Handle Gap. The lake is just starting to melt. Some kind soul has marked the edges of the lake so that the hikers know when the ice might get thinner.

Lake Tahoe / California - Nevada This is close to Bonsai Rock in Lake Tahoe. This was during the time of sunset, but the sun was nowhere to be seen. Still I thought I will trek down and try to find bonsai rock. Got the GPS coordinates and trekked down all the snow that was gathered along the path. Luckily got few snaps before it was totally dark. It was fun climbing back up again as it was almost dark. Good workout too. I have a different shot from the same place but a little further back than this to get the snow too.
